Friday, October 20, 2023 is the annual provincial Professional Development Day for teachers.
Across the province of BC, schools close so that teachers can engage in professional learning activities. UBC BEd classes will be cancelled so that teacher candidates can also enhance their professional practice and connect with teaching colleagues at an event on this day. There are a wide variety of happenings such as subject-specific conferences, workshops, and online sessions that are scheduled by organizations and school districts throughout BC.
The TEO will be collecting and sharing a selection of the events below. This page will be updated as we learn of more events.
Participation is mandatory for teacher candidates.
